Masonic Education Symposium

  • Libertyville #492 356 Brainerd Avenue Libertyville, IL, 60048 United States (map)

Have you been practicing your ritual and come across a line and thought "what the heck does THAT mean?" Have you been sitting in a stated meeting and were suddenly struck by "why is he called a Tyler anyway?" Perhaps you've been spacing out during a 3rd Degree lecture, and some piece of the text hit you right in the brain-pan as "say what?"

THIS is an opportunity to answer these sublime and subliminal questions! We invite you to take a Masonic topic, piece of the Masonic ritual, or anything else Masonic that "excites your curiosity" and do a little research into it. You are then welcomed to the Education Symposium to take a few minutes and present your question and the answers you found to your Brothers, and foster discussion and group learning.

The symposium will be very casual in nature. WB Spencer Hamann will serve as moderator and help keep topics and discussion flowing. You don't have to speak for long, even 5 minutes of findings or a "small" topic is great; no one will be "judging" you, and everyone is genuinely interested in what you'll have to say. It's a great chance to get a little more experience speaking in front of your Brothers, and getting to know a little more about our Craft!

Please RSVP if you are planning to attend, and if you would like to share a topic, please either contact Spencer Hamann or post it here!

** Due to the nature of the topics being presented, this event is open to Master Masons only, thank you for understanding. Future symposia will be held that will be available to all Masons **
